With COVID-19, working to maintain regular, daily routines is often difficult during these challenging times. Although this may be the case, dental hygiene remains important and you must maintain your oral health!

Maintaining good dental hygiene not only helps you stay healthy but sets you up to maintain that health in the long run. By neglecting your oral health, you are more likely to develop various oral health problems; some include, periodontal disease, halitosis and dental caries. By maintaining your dental health, it is more than possible to prevent any of these outcomes. By taking care of your teeth and your mouth, you are also reducing and prevent the build-up of tartar and plaque that form on your teeth and gums.

Not only does poor oral health affect your overall health, it affects other parts of your body!

By brushing and flossing regularly, you are removing any bacteria, plaque, food particles etc. that have built up in your mouth.

Another way you can practice good dental hygiene is by working on your diet! Whether or not it is desirable to do so, cutting out sugar makes a huge difference. Sugar aids in the build-up of plaque and lessening the amount of sugar in your diet helps avoid such build up.
