Avocado Sweet Potato Tacos

Topped with our favourite creamy avocado lime sauce, these simple, chilli-spiced sweet potato tacos make a delicious dinner and even suit the pickiest of eaters. This recipe can be completed in just 2-steps!

Making the Yogurt Sauce

In a blender, combine Greek yogurt, avocado, garlic, lime juice, salt, and pepper… if you like it spicy, throw in some jalapeno!

Roasting the Sweet Potatoes

Chop your sweet potato into cubes and mix with olive oil, salt, pepper and chilli powder.

That’s it!

Add the roasted sweet potatoes to a corn tortilla, top with your yogurt sauce and garnish with items like cilantro, black beans, corn and tomatoes!

Overall, this recipe takes a mere 20 minutes to prepare!


  • One sweet potato, cubed
  • Extra-virgin olive oil (for drizzling)
  • ½ teaspoon chilli powder
  • 4 – 6 tortillas
  • 1 cup of black beans, cooked, drained & rinsed
  • Lime slices (garnish)
  • Sea salt & ground black pepper

Avocado yogurt sauce

  • 1/2 cup whole milk Greek yogurt
  • One small avocado
  • 1/2 garlic clove
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Sea salt & fresh black pepper
  • Optional toppings: 1 small avocado, diced, two scallions, diced, Crumbled feta or Cotija cheese, black beans, cilantro, corn
